SO LA's collab with Halfmoon Candle Co., (Our favorite,) introduces the first of five in this healing candle line, "The Hand You're Dealt."

This black beauty is fragranced with a deep and rich combination of jasmine, ylang ylang, honeysuckle, amber, and musk + infused with titanium quartz to promote strength.

HMC writes, "We are so honored to partner up with @shessola for this incredibly special and meaningful project.

SO LA began as an advocate site to channel and help heal trauma and the aftermath of sexual abuse through painting, writing and further raising awareness surrounding brain development in children.

Gina Gretta is the writer for SO LA, though this project brought out her passion for helping children and the fascination with neuroscience to seek to better understand the growth impact childhood trauma can have on our brain development and in our adult lives.

As an American actress, writer and producer, she met a fellow actress and life coach with similar life experiences and the same goals in advocating. Creating a production company with this message, Gina decided her first line of candles in promotion would coincide with her love of the TAROT, as it brought her much healing and clarity. Signs and symbols, while we are not taught such in a syllabus, are all around us every day and largely at play in our lives and healing journeys.

The Black Rock is the first and foundational card in the deck and it was made in honor of two of Gina’s close friends from her childhood and hometown of Bethlehem, PA: Adam Fink, who we lost in 2006 and Ryan Dugan who most recently passed away this past August 2022. When Adam passed away, his closest friends and family members gathered at his memorial and placed a black rock at his casket, remembering one of their friend groups most cherished songs and band, O.A.R.’s The Black Rock.. and that is the meaning behind the name of this foundational tarot card and candle.
